AN INTROSPECTIVE ON BLACK-PALESTINIAN UNITY: A RICH HISTORY OF RESISTANCE AND SOLIDARITY — A Resource Guide By The United Liberation Front for Palestine As we reflect on this Black History Month, we take a moment to contemplate the rich history between Black and Palestinian liberation movements and the role of Afro-Palestinians within Palestine’s tapestry. Both Black and Palestinian movements have historically shared a common struggle against systemic oppression, racism, colonialism, and imperialism. From the 1960s until this moment, that solidarity has taken shape through political and militant alliances, cultural exchanges, and shared resistance tactics. This resource guide serves as both a brief look into this alliance as well as a tool to shut down those who attempt to bury this history in service of their neoliberal agendas.

✉️🇵🇸 LETTERS FROM LERDO: Words from a former political prisoner who spent days behind bars for their local activism for Palestine in Bakersfield, CA—shares their journey of resilience, reflection, and hope in the face of oppression. While coming nothing close to what Palestinian prisoners inside the Zionist Entity go through, this activist saw with their own eyes the kind of psychological torture prisons implement here in the Imperial Core in order to break people’s will. In moments of vulnerably, we find ourselves clinging to the hope that despite being confined—our movement for Palestinian liberation continues, in spite of those who’d want to see it die. رسائل من ليردوا: كلمات من سجين سياسي سابق أمضى أيامًا وراء القضبان من أجل نشاطه المحلي من اجل فلسطين في كليفورنيا—يشارك رحلته في الصمود والتأمل والأمل في مواجهة القمع. ورغم أن تجربته لا تقارن بما يمر به الأسرى الفلسطينيون داخل الكيان الصهيوني، إلا أن هذا الناشط شهد بعينيه نوع التعذيب النفسي الذي تنفذه السجون هنا في قلب الإمبراطورية لكسر إرادة الناس. في لحظات الضعف، نجد أنفسنا متمسكين بالأمل أنه رغم القيود—يستمر نضالنا من أجل تحرير فلسطين، رغم أولئك الذين يرغبون في رؤيته تنهار.

🇵🇸🇲🇽 STUDENT WALKOUT: We were incredibly grateful to be part of this historic walkout organized by students across Bakersfield. It was absolutely inspirational to see students take charge, breaking the barriers of fear to raise their voices in opposition to the recent ICE/CBP raids that have terrorized this city. We affirm our continued support to these students, their families, and our immigrant community here as we stand united—from Palestine to Mexico—against family separation, the use of concentration camps, and the enforcement arms of the Imperial Core. All the walls have got to go.

ULFP COMMEMORATES THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HIND RAJAB’S MARTYRDOM: The United Liberation Front for Palestine commemorates one year since the martyrdom of five-year-old Hind Rajab, who was killed by the brutal hands of the Zionist army. Just one year ago, Hind and members of her extended family were escaping israeli bombardment on their town, when they were cornered by an israeli merkava tank. Zionist soldiers opened fire, spraying their vehicle with 355 bullets. Everyone in the car was killed, including her 15 year old cousin Layan Hamadeh, who had only just called the Red Crescent for help moments before. For a number of excruciating hours, Red Crescent responders kept Hind on the phone as she held on to life, hoping for first responders to come rescue her. Eventually, and after permission from the IOF, they were dispatched. Immediately upon their arrival—Yusuf Al-Zeino and Ahmed Al-Madhoun were both martyred by an israeli tank shell. Hind succumbed to her wounds soon after. We remember Hind today not only as a victim of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, but as a symbol of the future that has been taken from us. In Hind, we see the more than 20,000 Palestinian children whose lives were prematurely ended due to the violence perpetuated by both the Zionist settler colony and the US Empire’s direct actions.
