We’re bringing the community together for a day of food, music, art, and family: a space to honor our culture and share it with everyone who calls this place home.
This Culture Fest is about more than just about celebrating our people, it’s about coming together for a cause and a struggle that’s greater. This is a culture fest for us, for our families, and for our community…and we want you to be a part of it.
This will be a cultural experience for the entire family that will offer a vibrant showcase of music, art, dance, vendors, food tasting stations, a fashion show of traditional Palestinian clothing, and more! This event aims to honor, celebrate, and emphasize the beauty of Palestine and Palestinian culture here in Bakersfield.
For over 75 years, and especially through these past two years, Palestinians have faced attempts to erase not just their land, but their language, music, food, and traditions. Yet, across every generation and throughout the diaspora, our people have carried these things forward: keeping Palestine alive in every song, every dish, and every stitch of Tatreez.
This festival is about honoring that legacy. It’s about creating space where the beauty of Palestinian and Arab culture can be felt, shared, and protected. We celebrate a people who have refused to disappear and who continue to love, to dance, to cook, and to dream, even under occupation and displacement.
