JUSTICE FOR PALESTINE: On Disrupting The Latest Democratic Party Rehabilitation Tour

On April 15th, we—the United Liberation Front for Palestine—alongside several organizations from across the Central Valley took the streets of Bakersfield to march in solidarity with Gaza and to call out the hypocrisy of liberal Zionism.

At the same time our comrades were inside rightfully disrupting the sham that was “the oligarchy tour”, we rallied outside the arena calling out the deception that is liberal Zionism.

At first we could tell, the crowd was confused. Defensive. But from across the street, with nothing but a megaphone, we called to them: “Join us. March back.” And there were people who did…one after another.

In that moment, something broke open. A line was drawn—and crossed.

We marched back to the park—our numbers tripling in size—with members of our Indigenous community, their drums echoing through the streets, holding us in rhythm and resistance. We returned back to where we started—and gathered in community to explain and speak truth: Bernie Sanders’ liberal Zionism is not just a political position. It is a threat to our community’s safety. To speak of “both sides” while our people are being massacred is not neutrality—it is betrayal.

We are not confused. We know who our enemies are. We know who hides behind progressive slogans while upholding settler colonialism. And we will not allow the face of our liberation movement to be co-opted by those who normalize the occupation of our land and the disposability of our people.

This is not about division. This is about direction. We are not marching toward false saviors—we are marching toward freedom. Uncompromising. Unapologetic. Unafraid.

If you care about Palestine, don’t just chant for it. Don’t just march for it. Stand with those who are willing to tell the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable.

We’re not here to play politics. We’re here to win liberation.
