Saleh Al-jafarawi
“Never say that those martyred in the cause of Allah are dead—in fact, they are alive! But you do not perceive it.” (Quran 2:154)
The United Liberation Front for Palestine expresses the deepest grief as it commemorates the martyrdom of Palestinian journalist, national singer, and content creator Saleh Al-Jafarawi.
Moments ago, we received confirmed reports that Saleh was killed by traitorous elements within Gaza—collaborators who have long operated in the shadows, serving the Zionist cause. These agents, working against the interests of their own people, sought to capture Saleh and use him as a bargaining chip, hoping to hand him over to the occupation or exploit his influence for propaganda.
But Saleh was not one to submit. He resisted their attempt to take him alive, standing firm in defense of his dignity and the truth he carried. In that moment, his resistance became his final act of defiance. According to reports, he fought back against his would-be captors and was executed as a result. Saleh was a martyr who met betrayal with courage rather than surrender.
His killing reveals a deeper wound in our struggle: the presence of collaborators who undermine Palestine from within, serving the occupier’s agenda by silencing those who inspire our people. Yet even in death, Saleh exposed them. His sacrifice shines a light on the treachery that festers behind closed doors, reminding us that liberation is not only from the occupier outside, but also from the corruption and collaboration that rot within.
Saleh, known for his passionate documentation of life in Gaza and his heartfelt songs that carried the voices of the besieged, became a symbol of steadfastness and truth in the face of Zionist propaganda. Through his art and his journalism, he exposed the realities of the genocide and gave us a glimpse into its horrors.
Even as he faced smear campaigns and relentless attempts to silence him by Zionist forces, Saleh never wavered in his mission to speak for Gaza. His martyrdom is a testament to that unwavering spirit.
The United Liberation Front for Palestine honors Saleh Al-Jafarawi as a son of Palestine who lived and died for its liberation. His voice will echo through every street and ruin of Gaza, reminding us that the truth cannot be killed, and the song of the oppressed will always rise again.
