“Never say that those martyred in the cause of Allah are dead—in fact, they are alive! But you do not perceive it.” (Al-Baqarah, Verse 154)

The United Liberation Front for Palestine strongly condemns the assassination of Palestinian resistance commander Mohamed Jaber, also known by his more common name Abu Shuja’a.

Three days ago, Zionist Occupation Forces began its largest raid on the West Bank in 22 years, targeting the cities of Tulkarem, Tubas, and Jenin, killing more than 17 Palestinians so far. Earlier this morning, Zionist forces infiltrated Nour Shams Camp in Tulkarem in an attempt to garner some sort of “victory” in the face of consistent defeat in both Gaza and the West Bank over the past 11 months.

Abu Shuja’a, commander of the Tulkarem resistance brigades, was no stranger to these infiltrations—fending both the traitorous Palestinian Authority’s security forces and the IOF’s infantry multiple times. This intrusion saw Abu Shuja’a valiantly defending his town and his people until his martyrdom.

The Zionist entity has continued to slaughter leaders of Palestinian resistance, and Palestinians continue to resist in every way we can, in every place we can. No matter what Zionist entity or the US Empire does, they will never crush Palestinian resilience. Though we mourn our beloved and heroic martyrs, their blood fertilizes the seeds of our continued resistance.

The United Liberation Front for Palestine will forever stand with Palestinian resistance, and with any who would give their lives in the struggle against Zionism, imperialism, colonialism, fascism, and capitalism. The world is changing, and the days of US empire & their pet project in the settler-colony of “israel” are numbered. As the empire declines, it will do everything in its power to drag the world down with it…but our resolve to fight for a new and better world is our responsibility until its fruition.

“If the enemy assassinates me, we will continue. The struggle does not end with one person, there are generations that rise to defend our rights.” –Abu Shuja’a
