Last night, we collectively witnessed the martyrdom of a young man who was burned alive in front of our eyes. That man was 19 year old Sha’ban Al-Dalou, a software engineering student and eldest child of three.
Last night, Sha’ban ascended to martyrdom alongside his mother Alaa, who often said how proud she was for his complete memorization of the Holy Quran. He was known amongst his friends and family for his kindness and ingenuity in the face of unrelenting obstacles. Only a week before, he was injured in a separate bombing on a mosque that claimed the lives of 20 Palestinians. His last act was donating blood to those recently injured by Zionist bombardment.
Sha’ban spent the last few months raising funds to try to get his family out of Gaza and into Egypt. The tent that his family sheltered in, the same tent burned down by last night’s Zionist bombings, was built with his hands. His last post on instagram (@shabanahmed19) documents another bombing in a similar area of the hospital on March 31st.
We remember Sha’ban as one of the thousands of young Palestinian men we’ve lost, who had so much potential and promise to bring to the world. We also acknowledge that his murder was only possible because of the actions of the Imperial Core and its proxy Zionist colony currently occupying our lands. Inna Lilaah Wa Inna Elayh Rajioun.
Glory to our martyrs.
